Every day 8am to 10pm at the Gallery
Discover Séra, a Cambodian-born artist whose powerful works bridge Khmer and Western influences. Forced into exile after the Khmer Rouge took power in 1975, Séra, now based in Paris, draws deeply from Cambodia’s tragic history to create art that speaks to memory, resilience, and justice.
A painter, sculptor, performer, and comic book author, Séra has exhibited internationally, from Paris and Phnom Penh to Munich and Vannes. His work spans a variety of mediums, blending emotional storytelling with bold artistic expression.
Among his most significant contributions is To Those Who Are No Longer Here, Phnom Penh’s first memorial to Khmer Rouge victims, now a permanent installation at the Tuol Sleng Museum. His notable publications include Concombres Amers and L’âme au bord des cheveux, both acclaimed for their poignant narratives.
Now, we are proud to invite you to experience his latest exhibition, April Rains by Séra, on display at The Gallery by Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra. Explore new perspectives woven through a powerful journey of memory, hope, and renewal.
