Every day 8am to 10pm at The Gallery
March 2026 – April 2026
Eat, Pray, Love is a new solo exhibition by Filipino artist Michael Santiago, affectionately known as “Mikey.” Curated by Don Prostasio, the exhibition is a tribute to Khmer food, traditions, and the quiet beauty of everyday life in Cambodia, the country Mikey has called home for nearly two decades.
Mikey first arrived in Phnom Penh in 2006 and spent many years working as a storyboard artist in advertising before fully dedicating himself to his art practice in March 2024. Working primarily in watercolor, he captures fleeting and intimate moments with softness and emotional depth.
Through delicate brushstrokes and luminous washes of color, his paintings evoke scenes of daily life. Incense drifting through temple air, the rhythm of wet markets at dawn, shared meals beneath humming ceiling fans, children playing in narrow streets, neighbors cooking, and monks chanting in the distance.
Eat, Pray, Love continues Mikey’s exploration of food, culture, and daily rituals. More than a documentation of life in Cambodia, the exhibition reflects a deep sense of gratitude and belonging. It is a heartfelt tribute to the country and its people, inviting viewers to rediscover the beauty within everyday moments.
